Psalm 43:1-5
Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause
against an ungodly people,
from the deceitful and unjust man
deliver me!
2 For
you are the God in whom I take refuge;
why have you rejected me?
Why do I go about mourning
because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 Send
out your light and your truth;
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy hill
and to your dwelling!
4 Then
I will go to the altar of God,
to God my exceeding joy,
and I will praise you with the lyre,
O God, my God.
5 Why
are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God.
God is both a God of Light and a God of Truth. He is the
only true God. God has delivered his people. God has become their salvation and
redeemer. God is also our shield and protector.
Have you ever seen a moth or insect attracted to a light? It
amazes me when these bugs that come out only after the sun goes down are still
attracted to Light. It would make more sense they would flee from the light,
but they are attracted to it. They follow it. It is like a mob swarming toward
the one thing that could bring them hope.
Likewise, many people like to say they stand up for truth.
But most of them time they have not looked at all the evidence. There are even
some people that like to stand up for truths in which all other people are
speaking against it. Some people do not even require two or three witnesses.
There are some truths that are spoken first by one witness. There is a truth
that many people stood against.
Jesus Christ died for the forgiveness of your sins. Jesus is
your salvation. The Resurrected Christ is your Hope. God Bless you!
Let us Pray.
Almighty and everlasting Father, You give Your children many
blessings even though we are undeserving.
In every trial and temptation grant us steadfast confidence in Your
loving-kindness and mercy; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives
and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
