Matthew 11:25-30
25 At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

There is no greater place to find rest than in the land of Peace (Salem). Jesus thanks his Father for hiding this from the wise. He seems to take pride in the fact that some people do not believe. The Christ seems to be proud of the fact that people do not accept him.
"No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him." The only people that know the truth are those chosen by God. Only the few are revealed the truth. Jesus refers to the few earlier as children.
Jesus Christ died for the forgiveness of all our sins. He is the one who has paid the price. But only those whom God has revealed this to will believe in it. He withholds this from the wise and the learned. He calls all people to his wedding feast but only the chosen will show up.
Come to him all who are burdened by cares of this world. Come to him all who are in need. He will bring forth bread and wine for you to eat and drink. He will give you Peace and Rest in his Kingdom.
