Sunday of Creation (NTA)

Colossians 1:15-23
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
21 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible creator. He is the one who created all things. Through Christ all things were brought into existence. God sent his Son into the flesh in order to reveal the full power of the Creator. Jesus restores creation part by part. He commands the Winds and waves. In the Resurrection of Jesus Christ all things are being made new once more.

There are many minds that are hostile to their creator. There are many people who teach various origins of the universe or reality. There are many people who dive into deep scientific explanations. They are hostile to the idea of God. There are even some who are hostile to the creation itself, which God has provided them.

God sends his messengers to remind us of the importance of his creation. All of us are stewards of what God has designed and given to us. But in Jesus Christ he not only reminds us of the glorious world and environment God provided for human life, God also provides Life. He provides the way, the truth, and the LIFE. Jesus is the Life of all the living. In him there is no darkness at all. He is the firstfruits of your resurrection.

God created you to live. Jesus provided your forgiveness and new life. The Holy Spirit continue to guide, and cry in, your heart.
